PMI Scholars are potential PMI missionaries who are pursuing theological education to further their projected ministries. They are full-time students at either Covenant Seminary or an approved institution subsequent to graduation from Covenant Seminary.
Anyone wanting to financially support these students and their families during this time of intensive study may direct gifts to the PMI Scholars Fund.
Yoji Takahashi — Back in the late 70's, Yoji's Japanese-born father arrived in Costa Rica and soon married his mother, a native Costa Rican. Together they would raise a family just north of San Jose, Costa Rica. His father's conversion to Christ was the impetus Christ used to bring Yoji to himself when he was 12 years old. During his younger years, Yoji worked with his local youth group and even made his first mission trip in 2003, when he visited various countries of the Pacific Coast of South America over the course of several months. Through those experiences, Yoji decided to give his life to serve in missions and has been serving as one of the leaders of the missions committee of his church. More recently, he has a new awareness of the necessity for solid biblically-based theology in Latin America and different places around the world. To that end, he is pursuing theological studies at Covenant Theological Seminary. (ytachi@gmail.com)
